Update 3/21/18: Dr. Sameer Jejurikar recently completed another trip to perform Cleft Lip/Palates surgeries with Smile Bangladesh. “There were many great moments of the trip, including our team performing more than 40 cleft lip/palate surgeries and spending quality time with my son,” Jejurikar reflects on his trip, he continues, “the outpouring of support has been incredible from home. Each one of these cases costs $400 to perform, a far cry from the tens of thousands of dollars it costs back at home. Support Smile Bangladesh, an incredibly worthy cause, so we can continue doing missions like this for years to come.”

Dr. Jejurikar is a committed physician whose primary aim is to provide his patients with the latest and most innovative approaches to their desired aesthetic and cosmetic surgical enhancements. Depending on his patients’ needs, whether they are a more youthful appearance or a complete physical change, he strives to help them reach their goals. Dr. Jejurikar is caring and meticulous. His attention to detail as well as passion for plastic surgery enable him to successfully find both surgical as well as noninvasive solutions to his patients’ individual needs. “Every patient is very different, and every patient has different goals. Some patients come in and they want to look more youthful. Some patients want to look completely different. Some people want to restore their body after they have had a pregnancy or they have lost a lot of weight. Oher people just want to reverse the signs of aging. So the most important thing for a plastic surgeon is to listen to your patient to find out what they want,” says Dr. Jejurikar.

Also part of Dr. Jejurikar’s plastic surgery repertoire is the Brazilian butt lift that, in addition to the traditional butt lift, is one of two procedures of buttocks augmentation. Traditional butt lift surgery is typically sought out by patients who are dissatisfied with the appearance of their backsides most often due to the size or shape or the presence of sagging skin. On the other hand, the popular Brazilian butt lift is for those who are seeking subtle augmentation of their backsides.

The Brazilian butt lift is a moderate enhancement of the size and shape of a patient’s butt so that it is a better fit of their figure. It uses a patient’s own tissues and as such yields more natural results than butt implants or synthetic fillers. The actual surgery is typically performed under local anesthesia and takes about two hours to complete. It involves the removal of fat from areas of the body such as the back, abdomen, hips and thighs through liposuction. A small incision is typically made in the region with excess fat followed by an insertion of a tube. Fat deposits are subsequently dissolved via manual motion, vibration, ultrasonic waves, bursts of air or lasers and eventually aspirated. Following removal, fat cells are purified and only the best tissue is used for injection into the buttocks with tiny cannulas (tubes) at various depths for a natural look and feel. While a patient’s desired result decides the number, depth and amount of injections, more frequent small injections yield a more realistic appearance.

The Dallas-based surgeon is passionate about his role as a physician. He states, “I really like my patients. I like what I do. I think I have the greatest job in the world. I get to make a real difference in people’s lives.” He is known for his warmth and sensitivity toward his patients as well as his passion for plastic surgery. In 2012, he was among the 3% of a total of 870,000 active physicians to be awarded the Compassionate Doctor Certification based on his patients votes as part of the Patients’ Choice recognition program. This was seconded by the American Registry who subsequently added Dr. Jejurikar to The Registry of Business Excellence. Dr. Sameer Jejurikar commented on the recognition, “This is quite an honor for me. I am very pleased to have been selected and grateful to my patients who went out of their way to rate me and give me positive reviews.”

Dr. Jejurikar’s skills and expertise have also driven his humanitarian efforts both nationally and internationally.
