Virtua Medical Group has a mobile intensive care unit (MICU). This service is located in Camden and Burlington Counties. The MICU works with ambulances to provide advanced life support paramedic services. They respond to over 50,000 calls a year and have about 160 part- and full-time people on the MICU staff. This service is provided 24/7 and started on April 14, 1977.
They are partnered with GE Healthcare. This gives Virtua Medical Group access to technologically advanced healthcare services, point-of-care systems, medical imaging, and information technology. They partnered with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2011. Through this partnership, their hospitals in Voorhees and Mount Holly offer pediatric services, including pediatric emergency care and pediatric intensive care. They partnered with Penn Medicine to provide neuroscience and cancer care.
