Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 3, 2026

This policy describes what information is handled when you read medicaldailytimes.com, why it is used and what choices you have. The operator is the person or organisation running this health news publication, and we and us refer to that operator.

Visit logs

Our servers keep ordinary logs. An entry can contain your IP address, the time of the request, the page asked for, your browser and device type, and the referring page. We use them to keep the site available, investigate errors and notice abusive traffic, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a reliable publication.

Cookies and similar technology

The site may set only the small files or storage needed for pages to load and display properly. No analytics, advertising or affiliate tracking is in place today. If the site ever adds them, this policy will be updated first and consent requested where the law requires it.

Browser controls and opt-out signals

You can block or clear cookies, browse privately or install tracking limiters. If your browser sends a do-not-track or global privacy signal, we will honour it as an opt-out wherever the technology on the site allows. Blocking storage may change how some elements appear.

Emails and forms

If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and anything you include. We use it to answer you, make corrections and keep a record of the exchange, because you asked us to respond. Please leave out personal health details; we cannot offer medical advice and do not need them. Your messages are never sold, and none will be quoted publicly unless you agree.

Newsletters

If a newsletter is offered, the address you enter is used only to send the issues you asked for, on the basis of your consent. Each issue explains how to unsubscribe, and you can also ask by email.

Third-party services

A hosting provider and delivery infrastructure serve our pages and see technical data about each visit so the service works. No embedded videos, social widgets or maps are in place. If the site ever adds embeds, analytics, advertising or affiliate networks, those providers may receive data about your visit under their own notices, and we will say so here.

How long we keep data

Access logs are kept briefly before being erased or boiled down to anonymous counts. Emails are kept while useful for replying, tracing a correction or meeting a legal duty, then deleted. A subscriber’s address, if a newsletter exists, stays on file only until that person opts out.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask what personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, object to certain uses, request a copy or restrict processing. Email [email protected] and describe what you want. We may need to confirm your identity first, and will reply within the period the law sets.

Withdrawing consent

Where we rely on your consent, such as for a newsletter or any optional cookie, you can take it back at any time. The Cookie Policy page linked in the footer explains the steps for cookie choices, and for a newsletter you can simply email us.

Complaints to a regulator

If you feel your information has been mishandled, you can complain to your local data protection authority if you are in the EU, EEA or UK, or to the OAIC if you are in Australia. Going to a regulator does not depend on writing to us first, though we are glad to try to resolve a concern directly.

Children

Medicaldailytimes is a news site for adults interested in research and health policy, and it is not meant for under-13s. We do not set out to collect anything about a child through medicaldailytimes.com. A parent who discovers that a child has sent a message can email us with the date and subject, and we will delete it.

Security

Readers sometimes mention their own conditions in emails, so inbox access is limited to the operator and protected by private login details. The site has no reader accounts or stored passwords that could be exposed. Even so, nothing sent over the internet can be guaranteed completely safe.

International transfers

Our hosting and email providers may handle data on servers in other countries, where privacy rules may differ from those where you live. We choose providers with reasonable safeguards, but cannot control foreign legal regimes.

Changes to this policy

We will revise this policy if our practices change, for example by adding analytics, or if the law requires it. The effective date at the top shows when this version began.

Withdrawing consent and complaints

Consent you have given can be withdrawn whenever you like, without affecting earlier use. Our Cookie Policy page sets out which cookies are used and how to change your mind about them. Not satisfied with our answer? In the EU, EEA and UK you may complain to your data protection authority (the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK); in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
